About Jenny

Jenny Britton Herring, LCSW chose a career as a therapist while raising her three children and observing the challenges children and families face in today’s world.

Following a career in human resources, Jenny attended the University of Texas at Arlington where she received her Master’s of Social Work specializing in Children and Families. She continued her training with children and families at the Momentous Institute in Dallas.

Jenny specializes in working with individuals who have experienced or have been diagnosed with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, or borderline personality disorder. In addition, she helps families navigate the challenges associated with traumatic events.

She believes in a person-centered approach to counseling where the individual is respectfully and gently listened to without judgment. Jenny understands that a client’s therapy goals can only be defined by the individual. Her approach to counseling is to use evidence based modalities that best suit the individual. These approaches may include: psycho-dynamic, narrative, inner-child, as well as using a strengths-based approach to empower the client.

Jenny recognizes that coming to therapy takes a great deal of courage. She considers it a privilege to be trusted in the role of a therapist.
